Préférence Plein-Air is an association that rents out canoes for a few hours or by the day, for gliding down the River Sarthe to admire this unspoilt valley in the heart of the Alpes Mancelles. You can stop off at the characterful little towns of Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei (also listed as one of "France’s most beautiful villages"), Saint-Léonard-des-Bois or Fresnay-sur-Sarthe.
